SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Tiffany Hayes scored a career-high 35 points, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis added 19 points and eight rebounds, and third-ranked Connecticut pulled away from Syracuse in the second half en route to 95-54 victory on Wednesday night.

Connecticut (18-2, 7-1 Big East) won its sixth in a row overall and beat Syracuse (13-8, 2-5) for the 21st consecutive time.

Bria Hartley had 18 points for Connecticut, which had 24 points off Syracuse’s 17 turnovers and outscored the Orange 21-6 on the break.

The Huskies also shot 12 of 25 from beyond the arc and shot two more free throws than the Orange.

KANSAS 62, NO. 21 TEXAS TECH 43

In Lawrence, Kan., Carolyn Davis scored 34 points to lead Kansas.

Aishah Sutherland added 10 points and seven rebounds as Kansas (16-3, 5-2 Big 12) snapped a 12-game losing streak to the Lady Raiders. The win was Kansas coach Bonnie Henrickson’s first in nine tries against Texas Tech (14-5, 2-5).

The Lady Raiders were without leading scorer Kierra Mallard, who didn’t make the trip because of an undisclosed injury.

NO. 25 NORTH CAROLINA 77, BOSTON COLLEGE 46

In Chapel Hill, N.C., Chay Shegog scored 16 points to lead North Carolina over Boston College.

Krisa Gross and She’la White added 11 points apiece for the Tar Heels (15-5, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Shayra Brown scored 17 points to lead Boston College (5-15, 0-7).
