Tennessee women rout Chattanooga

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Ariel Massengale scored a season-high 19 points and No. 6 Tennessee cruised to a 90-47 win against Chattanooga on Tuesday night.

Massengale made all six of her shots, four from 3-point range. Glory Johnson had 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Massengale hit a 3 with 16:11 left in the first half and started a 30-0 run. The Lady Mocs went without a basket for 12 minutes.

Tennessee (10-3) led 50-16 at halftime and pushed the margin to 46 points late.

Faith Dupree, who signed with Tennessee but transferred after sitting out her freshman season, led Chattanooga (8-4) with 17 points.

NO. 14 LOUISVILLE 70, MARQUETTE 53

In Louisville, Ky., Shoni Schimmel scored 17 points and Bria Smith had 14 of her 16 in the second half to lead Louisville over Marquette.

Becky Burke added 13 points for Louisville (13-2, 2-0 Big East).

NO. 20 DEPAUL 59, NO. 15 GEORGETOWN 50

In Washington, Brittany Hrynko scored 17 points and Anna Martin had five points in the final two minutes as DePaul beat Georgetown.

Jasmine Penny added 13 points for the Blue Demons (14-2, 2-0 Big East).
