Michigan State (4-1) trailed by 10 after a turnover-filled first half, but charged back behind Lucas. The senior guard scored seven points during an 18-5 run that put the Spartans up 52-49 and hit two game-sealing free throws in the closing seconds after injuring his knee a few minutes earlier.
Matt Bryan-Amaning had 15 points for Washington (3-2).
Chaminade 68, Oklahoma 64
In Lahaina, Hawaii, little Chaminade did it again.
Maybe it wasn't as monumental as that all-timer over Virginia 19 years ago, but it still felt good.
Steven Bennett scored on a drive with 16 seconds left and Division II Chaminade held on to pull off another upset, beating Oklahoma in the seventh-place game of the Maui Invitational.
Chaminade has a knack for pulling the occasional upset, including one of the most monumental in college basketball history, over top-ranked Virginia on neighboring Oahu in 1982.
COACH K MILESTONE: Mike Krzyzewski's latest milestone win came with an impressive dismantling of one of the best teams in the country.
Top-ranked Duke's 82-68 victory over No. 4 Kansas State on Tuesday night in the championship game of the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic was Coach K's 800th win at Duke.
"It means I'm at a great school," said Krzyzewski. "It has afforded me the chance to recruit great kids. I feel really comfortable coaching at a high caliber and you're much better able to form a team with kids with good character. We try to develop the good character they bring us. ... I'm a lucky guy to be there."
