Jaguars dominate Bearcats in Peach Belt game

GREENWOOD, S.C. --- No. 12 Augusta State used a 20-2 run midway through the first half Saturday to pull away from Lander en route to an 81-54 victory.

Ben Madgen scored a game-high 17 points for the Jaguars (19-2, 11-1 Peach Belt Conference).

Fred Brathwaite and Franck Ndongo each added 11 points for Augusta State, which recorded its 100th win since the beginning of the 2006-07 season.

Dane Sparrow had 16 points for Lander (8-12, 3-9 PBC).

NO. 10 LANDER 99, AUGUSTA STATE WOMEN 51

In Greenwood, S.C., Lander shot 61 percent from the field in a victory over Augusta State.

Former Glenn Hills standout Ciara Lyons led Lander (19-1, 12-0) with a game-high 20 points. Kaylyn Small, from Richmond Academy, added 18 points and Hephzibah grad Jasmine Judge scored nine.

Kirsten Stallings led Augusta State (1-20, 0-12) with 15 points.

CLINTON JUNIOR COLLEGE 60, AIKEN TECH 58

In Graniteville, Quinton Nance scored 23 points to lead Clinton Junior College past Aiken Tech.

Anthony Rapley led the Knights (9-15) with 20.
