South Carolina was ranked fourth in the final polls by The Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Coaches, marking the best postseason ranking in school history.

Clemson was ranked seventh by the coaches and eighth by AP. The No. 7 ranking is the highest finish for the Tigers since 1981, when they were ranked No. 1 by both wire service polls.

It is the third consecutive year the Gamecocks finished in the top 10.

“We are very appreciative and thankful for being the highest–ranked team in school history and hope to do better next year,” South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said.

Georgia and Georgia Tech were unranked in both of the final polls.

Congratulations to Clemson

Congratulations to Clemson and USC. Was UGA not ranked in the top 25? I don't buy that. They should be.

Great year

They certainly did have a great year. Connor Shaw was fantastic to say the least.
No river, you can't put UGA in the Top 20 with 5 losses, regardless of the reasons. It was a strange year. UGA beat all their main rivals except Auburn, in Florida, Tenn, and GT. They were 2-2 against Top 10 teams. But, injuries prevented wins against Vandy, Missouri, and Nebraska. Close loss to Clemson..........
We'll get em next year.

UGA Rulez

still

btw, wiki is your friend

Series record Georgia leads, 47–17–2

come back in 30 years or more and mebbe you'll have that point you so desperately want to express but lack a foundation for.

That said, SC is far better (and more hated by UGA) in the OBC-era than ole Holtz. Yall are coming along lil feller.
