Multiple media outlets are reporting confirmation of bowl bids for a number of area teams.

According to the Athens Banner-Herald, the Georgia Bulldogs will appear in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl against Nebraska, scheduled for January 1st at noon.

TheState.com reports the South Carolina Gamecocks will face No. 19 Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida, also on January 1. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

No word yet on bowl appointments for Clemson and Georgia Tech, though Georgia Tech is rumored to be headed for either Charlotte or Nashville.

More information to come as the bowls are announced starting at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Clemson to the Orange Bowl per ESPN

Clemson to the Orange Bowl to play Ohio State. Ga Tech to Nashville. Dang, I thought South Carolina had the Cotton. They finished the year ranked in the top 10. That's the highest of the big 4 schools in GA-SC.

Kind of funny that the two

Kind of funny that the two teams playing for the National Championship are only 200 miles apart. That says a lot for southern football.

I used to hear a lot of BS

I used to hear a lot of BS about USC joining the SEC. Not even a decade ago. Funny how things change. I had a roommate in college who was dating and later married an FSU football player. FSU was
nothing special then.

It has a lot to do with the coaches, and not just the head coach.
