Anthony will need surgery to fix the ligament in his finger, which he injured during practice this week. He will miss the Tigers final four workouts.

Anthony is expected to be ready to play next season. He will be a sophomore next fall. Anthony started three games and made 32 tackles.

Anthony had two of his six tackles for loss on the season in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game, a 38-10 victory over Virginia Tech.

FLORIDA: The Gators’ quarterback competition will continue in the fall after Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel failed to separate themselves during four weeks of practice and Saturday’s spring game.

Brissett completed 9 of 16 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Driskel hit 12 of 14 passes for 147 yards, and ran for a score.

ARKANSAS: Athletic director Jeff Long made it perfectly clear what he expects from his staff as he put coach Bobby Petrino on leave for keeping him in the dark about a sordid-looking relationship with a female employee.

“It’s difficult any time that we have a coach, an employee that makes a misstep, it’s disappointing to me,” Long said. “We have high expectations. I think every coach and every administrator and every staff person knows we have high expectations. Certainly, I’m disappointed.”

Long, who told The Associated Press on Saturday that he continues to work on the review of Petrino’s conduct throughout the weekend and likely into today.

I just saw NFL running back

I just saw NFL running back C.J. Spiller at the Clemson spring game and to hear his loyalty and support for the Tigers is refreshing. He has also given $100,000 to Clemson. If any potential recruit can listen to C.J. and not want to go to Clemson, I'd be amazed. When his NFL days, which I hope are a long time off, are done he would do well working for the university.
