In Greensboro, N.C., the Augusta GreenJackets’ winning streak ended at 11 games on Thursday night, one short of tying the second-longest streak in franchise history.

In the first game of a four-game series, the Greensboro Grasshoppers scored five runs in the eighth inning to beat Augusta 6-1 in the South Atlantic League game.

The GreenJackets fell behind 1-0 in the first inning. It stayed that way until Augusta tied it in the seventh inning on Eliezer Zambrano’s RBI single.

Greensboro, which had 12 hits, then put it away in the eighth inning.

Augusta was limited to four hits, two by shortstop Travious Relaford, the No. 9 hitter. One of his hits was a double.
