LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Augusta GreenJackets right-hander Chris Stratton took the loss as South Division fell to the North Division 2-1 on Tuesday night in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game at FirstEnergy Park.

Heavy rain delayed the start by nearly three hours. League officials then shortened the game to seven innings.

Stratton allowed two runs on four hits in the third inning.

Kannapolis’ Micah Johnson stole bases on consecutive pitches and scored a run for the North.

Rome’s Levi Hyams had given the South the lead with a one-out homer in the top of the first before the North answered in the third.

West Virginia’s Dilson Herrera singled to center with one out and Johnson followed with a single to right that put runners at the corners. Johnson took off on the next pitch and when Savannah Kevin Plawecki threw to second, Herrera scored from third to tie it. Johnson then stole third and scored what turned out to be the winning run on a groundout by Hickory’s Lewis Brinson.

Hagerstown’s Dixon Anderson pitched around a pair of hits in one inning to get the win.
