Miller is PBC Player of the Week

SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Armstrong Atlantic State University junior catcher Clayton Miller, a Lakeside High graduate, has been named the Peach Belt Conference’s baseball Player of the Week.

Miller hit .632 with multiple hits in all four Pirate games. He hit .643 in a three-game series against Flagler with six combined RBIs. He went 4-for-5 in the opener with three RBIs, then 3-for-5 in game two with a triple and two more driven in. He finished the series by going 2-for-4 with another RBI.

Miller scored four runs and had a .789 slugging percentage on the week, while behind the plate, he threw out two of three base stealers and made no errors in 24 chances. Miller is currently sixth in the PBC with a .405 batting average on the season and he is also fifth in the league in runners caught stealing.
