ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Augusta GreenJackets lost for the fifth time in seven games, falling 5-1 to the Asheville Tourists on Thursday night.

Augusta starter Kyle Crick (3-6) allowed five runs on five hits in 4.2 innings.

The GreenJackets didn’t have more than one man on base at the same time in any inning until there were two outs in the ninth. Of the seven men they left on, five were stranded in scoring position.

Augusta didn’t break through until the ninth inning. Asheville starter Chris Jensen fell two outs shy of becoming the second Tourists pitcher to throw a nine-inning complete game against the GreenJackets this season as he was pulled after striking out Jose Cuevas for the first out of the inning.
