A variety of part-time summer jobs will be available at Lake Olmstead Stadium this weekend when the Augusta GreenJackets hold their annual job fair.
The team needs help during the upcoming minor league baseball season, which runs from April to early September. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
GreenJackets staff will ask job candidates to fill out applications, and interviews will be conducted for a variety of positions, including concessions workers, gameday customer service representatives, ushers, waiters/waitresses, parking attendants and gift shop workers.
“We will have a lot of people who have worked for us in the past come back and fill some positions,” GreenJackets media relations director Eric Little said. “But I’d estimate there will still probably be a dozen to two dozen people who will get hired out of who we see on Saturday.”
The job fair will also serve as a tryout time for those wishing to sing the national anthem before one of 70 regular season home games. Singers must audition individually and without music.
