Four-star outside linebacker Quay Walker flipped from Alabama to an SEC school on Wednesday and teased those watching his announcement in the Crisp County High gym in Cordele with his decision.
“I will be taking my talents to,” Walker said before putting on a Tennessee orange cap and flipping it aside, revealing he had on a Georgia black shirt and is singing with the Bulldogs.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Walker is the No. 6 rated player in the state of Georgia, giving the Bulldogs five of the top six in-state prospect.
It’s the second flip of the day for Georgia. Lee County’s Otis Reese switched from Michigan and signed with Georgia.
Coach Brad Harber described Walker as a player who has strength and length and is a “very talented athlete. Quay is one of those players that may only come around once every 10 years. If he stays healthy, the sky is limit for Quay, and I believe he will be playing on Sundays.”
