Open Team Bass Tournament

Dec. 2, Wildwood Park

Safe light until 3 p.m. First place wins $5,000 (based on 100-boat field). Entry fee is $100 per boat plus $10 big fish pot fee, plus two unwrapped toys (or $20 donation in lieu of toys). Pre-registration will be held at Augusta Marine on Thursday, Nov. 320,, from 5 to 7 p.m., with boat position drawing at 7. High protein items such as peanut butter, beans, canned chicken and tuna fish are popular. Take your donation to any Golden Harvest Food Bank and get a receipt. All tournaments are on Thurmond Lake out of Wildwood Park. Entry fees: Divisional qualifier $75 includes big fish pot. Divisional Championship $150 (include big fish pot). Schedule for 2017-2018: Nov. 19, Dec. 10. Jan. 28, 2018, Feb. 18, March 11. Division championship April 14-15. Tournament hours are safe light to 3 p.m. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler, with more than 116 districts offering more than 1,000 tournaments throughout the nation. Membership is open to anyone 16 years old and over, but is closed to professional fishermen and professional guides. Those under 18 must have their parents’ consent. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place.
