Westside product Booker going to South Carolina

Former Westside star Frank Booker will continue his college basketball career at South Carolina.

Booker, a standout guard who did it all for the Patriots, will play for the Gamecocks as a graduate transfer and is immediately eligible. It marks his third collegiate stop after beginning at Oklahoma and transferring to Florida Atlantic.

The 6-foot-4 Booker was a two-year player for Oklahoma and reached the Sweet 16 as a sophomore. He transferred to Florida Atlantic and averaged 5.8 points per game while hitting 33 3-pointers this past season.

He graduated in May with a degree in communications. He’ll join a South Carolina team coming off a Final Four appearance this past season.
