Baseball

● The 11-and-under Georgia Lightning baseball team is looking for players. Players cannot turn 12 before May 1, 2014. For more information, contact Billy Kelley at (706) 825-9898.

● The Augusta River Bandits 10-and-under major travel team is looking for players. Players must have been born between May 1, 2003 and April 30, 2004. For more information, contact Daniel Dykstra at (678) 358-8645.

● There will be a Thanksgiving baseball hitting clinic on Nov. 25 at Complete Game Gobblers hitting Gappers. Grades 1-5 from 9 a.m.-11; grades 6-8 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; and grades 9-12 from 2 p.m.-4. Registration cost is $55 and ends on Nov. 23. Register online at www.completegamellc.com.

Basketball

● A free skills clinic is being conducted by former Westside High, Duke University star and NBA player Will Avery every Saturday from 8-9:30 a.m. The camp is open to middle or high school students. ● The 100 Black Women of Augusta’s 2013 Power Thanksgiving Girls’ Tournament will be held on Nov. 25-26 at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $8.

● The 100 Black Men of Augusta will be playing host to a celebration for 20 years of the classic on Nov. 29-30. The event will be held in the Richmond Academy gymnasium at noon. Admission is $8 in advance and $9 at the door.

Boxing

● The North Augusta Police Athletic Leaugue will be playing host to the SC Silver Gloves State Boxing Championship on Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. Weigh-ins start at 10 a.m. and boxing starts a 3 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children ages 6 and under. Softball

● The CSRA Force fast-pitch travel softball organization will hold tryouts for its 14-and-under team with all positions open. Contact Kathy Guin at (706) 401-1820. The 12-and-under team will conduct individual tryouts.
