NeSmith,who started the third round eight shots behind Australia’s Daniel Nisbet, now trails by nine.
Nisbet had 70 and is at 11-under 205 entering today’s final round. NeSmith, 18, is tied for fourth place at 214 after previous rounds of 69-74.
Alabama golfer Bobby Wyatt shot 67 and is one shot behind Nisbet.
Today’s winner will receive an exemption into the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage in April.
