METS: Starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey (elbow) and left fielder Jason Bay (broken rib) were put on the 15-day disabled list.

REDS: Put left-handed setup man Bill Bray on the 15-day disabled list with a strained groin.

NATIONALS: Sent outfielder Brett Carroll to Triple-A Syracuse.

RANGERS: Adrian Beltre is back in the lineup.

Beltre was at third base and fourth in the batting order for Tuesday night’s game against the New York Yankees.

Beltre missed three games because of inflammation in his upper left leg.

WHITE SOX: Pitcher Phil Humber flew home to Chicago to be with his wife as they prepare for the birth of their first child.

The team says Humber, who pitched the 21st perfect game in major league history Saturday at Seattle, will maintain his workouts ahead of his next scheduled start on Thursday at home against Boston.

MLB might make unilateral rule changes for 2018 season
