The Trojans have scored a touchdown in each quarter. Quarterback Kentel Kendrick scored on a 1-yard run to open the scoring. He added a 21-yard touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson late in the second quarter.

Burke County, which rushed for 60 yards on 22 carries in the first half, got its offense going with a pass play. On third-and-17 from the Bears 39, Donquell Green tossed a 35-yard strike to Kadarius Burdette up the right seam. Five plays later, Burke County coach Eric Parker gambled. On fourth-and-4 from the 9, Bears quarterback Corey Mayton bulled his way 8 yards up the middle.

On first down, Mayton punched it in from the 1. After Untorrey Thomas missed the extra point, Burke County trailed by eight with 59 seconds left in the half.

Peach County quickly drove into Bears territory, but Montres Kitchens killed the Trojans' drive with an interception in the end zone just before intermission.

Burke County will receive the ball to open the second half.
