USC Aiken women fall in PBC championship game

AIKEN - Despite making a late comeback, No. 12 USC Aiken couldn't overcome a poor shooting performance, falling to Georgia College, 62-49, in the Peach Belt Conference championship game today at the convocation center.

The Lady Pacers (27-4) trailed by 10 in the second half on multiple occassions, but a Kayla Harris 17-foot jumper gave USC Aiken a 47-45 lead. Georgia College (22-6) closed with a 17-4 run.

USC Aiken shot 33 percent from the field and committed 16 turnovers. The Lady Pacers also shot 15  of 24 from the foul line. Harris led the Lady Pacers with 11 points.
