RiverHawks earn road win

Augusta 4, Mississippi Surge 2

In Biloxi, Miss., Robert Moss had 34 saves and the Augusta RiverHawks scored three times in the third period to beat the Mississippi Surge 4-2 on Friday night.

The victory gave Augusta a winning record for the month at 2-1, but the RiverHawks remain in the the SPHL basement with a 13-23-3 record.

With the score tied at 2-2, Augusta’s Joe Schiller scored early in the third period for the game-winning goal.

Drew Baker (second period), Taylor McReynolds (third period) and  Jesse Echternach (third period) had the other Augusta goals. Matt Auffrey had two assists.
