Outdoors calendar

June 8: A National Wild Turkey Federation Kids Day will be held at Pinetucky Gun Cub. Activities include shooting rifles, pistols, shotguns and air rifles, along with working dog demonstrations by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

June 13: Southeastern Natural Sciences Academy will hold its 15th annual “Swamp Soiree” fundraiser from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at a private residence along the Savannah River, with dining, music and a program by the Georgia Southern University Raptor Center. June 15: Pinetucky Gun Club will play host to a “3-Gun Shoot” with challenging courses of fire with rifle, pistol and shotgun. Sign-up is at 8:30 a.m. ,and shooting will begin at 9 a.m. and end by 4 p.m. Cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
