The 100 percent payback fishing tournament begins at safe light Oct. 20. Entry fee is $50 per boat with an optional $10 for the big fish pot. There are four categories: panfish, bass, striper/hybrid and catfish. The festival will be held at the Jackson Community Center and Pavilion on Main Street. A dessert competition will be held the night of Oct. 19 with a $10 entry fee. The winner gets $100. The S.C. Barbecue Association-sanctioned cookoff judging will be held Oct. 20. Winner gets $1,000, first runner-up $500 and second runner-up $250. Barbecue pork and chicken dinners will be sold Oct. 20 from 11 a.m., until sold out.
