Brett Favre sprained the sternoclavicular joint in his throwing shoulder after getting crunched by Bills linebacker Arthur Moats on Sunday, an injury that leaves the Minnesota Vikings quarterback unsure of whether he will be able to start his 298th straight regular season game next week.
"If we were talking ankles or elbows, thumbs or something like that, I would probably be a little more up to date on how to deal with it," Favre said after the Vikings beat the Bills, 38-14.
"First time in 20 years I have ever done anything like that, so it is kind of surprising."
COWBOYS : Receiver Dez Bryant fractured his right ankle during the fourth quarter against the Indianapolis Colts.
Indianapolis' Kavell Conner held onto Bryant's leg while tackling him on a kickoff return, and the Cowboys immediately took Bryant to the locker room.
CHARGERS : Running back Darren Sproles sustained a concussion when he was knocked down by a helmet-to-helmet hit by Oakland's Rolando McClain just before halftime.
Sproles caught a pass from Philip Rivers and was turning to run when he was hit by McClain.
PACKERS : Aaron Rodgers beat the 49ers with his arm (three touchdown passes), with his legs (39 rushing yards) and -- to hear some defensive players tell it -- with some illegal bobbing and weaving.
The 49ers jumped offside six times, including one declined. Coach Mike Singletary said that he pointed out to the officials that the quarterback "had movement and (was) moving his body away from the center."
In other words, Singletary thought Rodgers should have been whistled for a false start.
Rodgers pleaded innocent, saying he did the same thing he does every week.
"No, they were just a little jumpy today," the former Cal star said.
