Snelling held out again by Falcons

Atlanta's Jason Snelling is questionable for Sunday's game with Tampa Bay. He is nursing a hamstring injury.

The Atlanta Falcons are listing Jason Snelling as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay after the running back missed his third consecutive day of practice with a hamstring injury.

Snelling, the top backup to Michael Turner , is second on the team with 300 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

As a receiver, he's third with 35 catches for 239 yards and two touchdowns.

JETS: Safety Jim Leonhard has a broken right leg that will require surgery and likely sideline him for the rest of the season.

The team announced the injury Friday, three days before New York plays at New England for first place in the AFC East on Monday night.

Leonhard, who calls the defensive signals in the secondary, was injured during team drills -- which are closed to the media -- and carted from the field.

STEELERS: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been restricted in practice for a third consecutive day because of a right foot injury that is causing him to limp while off the field.

Roethlisberger wore a protective shoe during practice again Friday, but it's not approved for games.

He is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Baltimore.

EAGLES: The number of late hits quarterback Michael Vick has taken this season has ruffled Philadelphia coach Andy Reid to the point that the team is in the process of making the NFL aware of their concerns, ESPN reported.

After another game of Vick being hurried, harassed and knocked down a number of times, Reid said Friday that seeing Vick also get hit after the whistle has come to disturb him.

"That bothers me, that bothers me. He runs, but he is a quarterback, so you can't treat him like a running back. It concerns me," said Reid, whose team beat Houston 34-24 on Thursday night. "I'll deal with the people I need to on that."

VIKINGS: Minnesota's three best offensive players, running back Adrian Peterson , receiver Percy Harvin and left guard Steve Hutchinson , are listed as questionable for the Vikings game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

REDSKINS: Cornerback Carlos Rogers , a former Butler High star, will sit out with a sore hamstring when Washington visits the New York Giants on Sunday.

Rogers missed one game with a sore right hamstring, then hurt the left hamstring when he returned for last week's loss to Minnesota.

FINES: Houston safety Bernard Pollard was fined $40,000 by the NFL on Friday for unnecessary roughness against Justin Gage of the Tennessee Titans.

- Arizona Cardinals tackle Jeremy Bridges was fined $20,000 for unnecessary roughness, his fifth such infraction since 2009. He hit 49ers LB Takeo Spikes , a former Washington County star, after Spikes' interception.

Teammate Clark Haggans , a linebacker, was docked $10,000 for unnecessary roughness.
