Brooklyn Nets earn their third consecutive victory

Brooklyn Nets 102, Los Angeles Clippers 93

NEW YORK — Andray Blatche and Joe Johnson each scored 21 points in the Brooklyn Nets’ 102-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, making Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett winners in their first matchup with Doc Rivers.

Brook Lopez had 16 points and Deron Williams 15 for the Nets, who won their season-high third in a row. Pierce scored 10 points off the bench in his second game back from a broken hand.

Chris Paul scored 20 points for the Clippers.

WARRIORS: Andre Iguodala had a target date in mind to return from a right hamstring injury. The Golden State Warriors had a different one.

Iguodala said Thursday that the sides are “in the same chapter. Not on the same page.” He says he hopes to come back “really soon” but will leave the decision up to team trainers.

KNICKS: Point guard Raymond Felton is expected to miss two to three weeks with a strained left hamstring.

Former Georgia Tech standout Iman Shumpert, the other starting guard, is listed as day to day with a bruised left knee.

LAKERS: Guard Steve Blake will be out at least six weeks with a torn ligament in his right elbow.
