3-POINT CONTEST: All-Stars Paul Pierce, of Boston, and Chauncey Billups, of Denver, headline the field for the Alll-Star Game's 3-point contest Feb. 14.


Also chosen for the field Friday were defending champion Daequan Cook, of Miami, Golden State rookie Stephen Curry , New York's Danilo Gallinari and Phoenix center Channing Frye .

GRIZZLIES: Forward Darrell Arthur , who has not played this season because of right pectoralis surgery in October, plans to make his debut Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

The 6-foot-9 Arthur, in his second season out of Kansas, was cleared to play and began full-contact practice on Thursday. He participated in Friday's warmups before the Grizzlies' game against the Houston Rockets.

BULLS: Center Joakim Noah was not with the team for Friday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a left foot injury.

Team spokeswoman Sebrina Brewster said Noah is in Chicago receiving treatment for plantar fasciiitis, a painful irritation and swelling of the bottom of the heel.
