PITTSBURGH — Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 27 shots to tie Tom Barrasso’s franchise record for career shutouts and carry the Pittsburgh Penguins past the New York Rangers 2-0 on Tuesday night.
Evgeni Malkin scored his 33rd goal of the season and added an assist on Steve Sullivan’s tally to help the Penguins bounce back from a listless loss in Buffalo on Sunday and handle the Eastern Conference’s top team with relative ease.
Henrik Lundqvist made 29 stops for the Rangers, but New York lost for the second time in three games.
Fleury made a series of flashy glove saves earning collecting his 22nd NHL shutout, tying the mark Barrasso set while playing for Pittsburgh from 1990-2000.

In Chicago, Corey Crawford made 31 saves to lead Chicago to a win over Detroit in a matchup of Central Division rivals missing their top centers.
Chicago earned its fourth consecutive victory.

In Toronto, Mark Fayne scored 1:18 into overtime to give New Jersey at a win over Toronto.
Petr Sykora had a goal and an assist for New Jersey (34-20-4), and David Clarkson and former Maple Leafs forward Alexei Ponikarovsky also scored. The Devils have won four games in a row.
SABRES 2, ISLANDERS 1
In Buffalo, N.Y., Ryan Miller made 30 saves, including stopping Matt Moulson on the doorstep with 4:04 left, and led Buffalo to a win over New York.
Tyler Myers and Thomas Vanek staked the Sabres to a 2-0 lead, and Buffalo won its second in a row since an 0-3-1 skid.
PREDATORS 3, CANUCKS 1
In Nashville, Tenn., Mike Fisher scored a power-play goal and added two assists as Nashville beat Vancouver.
Sergei Kostitsyn and David Legwand also scored for the Predators, who have won two in a row. Dale Weise had the lone goal for the Canucks, whose four-game winning streak was snapped.

In Tampa, Fla., Steven Stamkos scored his league-leading 41st and 42nd goals of the season and added an assist as Tampa Bay beat Anaheim.
Tampa Bay also got a goal and two assists from Teddy Purcell.

In Montreal, Ryan Garbutt scored his first NHL goal and Kari Lehtonen made 31 saves as Dallas beat Montreal.

In Columbus, Ohio, Jeff Carter had three goals – two on the power play during Columbus’ four-goal first period – and the last-place Blue Jackets handed San Jose its season-high fourth consecutive loss.
R.J. Umberger and Rick Nash, who is the subject of trade rumors with the deadline less than a week away, had a goal and an assist.

In Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jaromir Jagr scored at 4:16 of overtime to lift Philadelphia to a victory over Winnipeg.
Philadelphia’s Wayne Simmonds sent the game into the extra period with a goal with 10 seconds left in regulation.
