PLAY OF THE GAME: Harlem avoided a shutout when quarterback Malcom Trey Price threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Michael McIntire in the third quarter that caught the Red Devils' second-string defense off guard.
STAR OF THE GAME: Lincoln County quarterback Franklin Sherman threw for 88 yards and a touchdown in one half. He also snagged an interception on Harlem's second drive of the game that led to a Red Devils' score.
WHY LINCOLN COUNTY WON: The Red Devils dominated from the outset, jumping out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead that would have been 21-0 had it not been for a penalty on the opening play that nullified a 55-yard scoring strike from Sherman to Mason Saggus .
WHY HARLEM LOST: The Bulldogs managed only 27 yards of offense in the first half. They were outgained 303-119 in total yards.
QUOTABLE: "We run a no-huddle offense and so you have to throw the ball. You're not out there to embarrass anybody and you hate to see the game get out of hand. We used everybody that was able to play." -- Lincoln County coach Larry Campbell
