Brendan Douglas' run in overtime lifts Aquinas

In Monroe, Ga., Aquinas’ Ruben Garnett’s 100-yard kickoff return helped forced overtime, and the unbeaten Irish won it on Brendan Douglas’ 1-yard run in the extra period.

Garnett’s kickoff return came with three minutes to go. Justin Thompson’s PAT tied it at 21-21.

After Douglas scored in overtime, Shane Meehan intercepted a George Walton pass to end the game.

Garnett also scored on a 32-yard run in the second quarter.

Douglas was limited to 78 yards on 22 carries, but did score twice.
