Jimenez, Campbell are tied for Hong Kong Open lead

HONG KONG — Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain shot 2-under-par 68 to share the third-round lead with New Zealand’s Michael Campbell at the Hong Kong Open on Saturday.

Campbell, looking for his first win in seven years, made a 15-foot par putt on the last hole to complete a round of 69 that put him at 10-under 200.

Campbell survived a scare during his round when he accidently knocked his ball off the tee at the par-4 10th hole while taking a practice swing. However, the 2005 U.S. Open champion avoided a two-stroke penalty after a ruling that he had not addressed the ball and therefore was not in breach of the rules.


TITLEHOLDERS: In Naples, Fla., U.S. Women’s Open champion Na Yeon Choi shot 3-under-par 69 that gave her a one-shot lead after three rounds in the final LPGA Tour event of the season.

Choi is one shot ahead of Ai Miyazato, who had 71. So Yeon Ryu had 68 and was two shots back.


SOUTH AFRICAN OPEN: In Johannesburg, Henrik Stenson of Sweden closed in on a first European Tour win in three years, taking a three-shot lead into the final round despite George Coetzee shooting a course-record 63.

Stenson had 69 for a 16-under total of 200. Coetzee and Magnus Carlsson were three shots back.


AUSTRALIAN MASTERS: In Melbourne, defending champion Ian Poulter shot 8-under-par 64 to take a one-stroke lead over Adam Scott after three rounds at the Kingston Heath course.

Poulter has a 54-hole total of 13-under 203.


DUNLOP PHOENIX: In Miyazaki, Japan, Luke Donald shot 71 to maintain a four-shot lead in the Japan Tour event.

Brendan Jones (67 on Saturday) and Shunsake Sonoda (71) are tied for second place.


PEBBLE BEACH INVITATIONAL: In Pebble Beach, Calif., Robert Streb shot 3-under-par 69 in rainy conditions to take a one-stroke lead over Billy Horschel after the third round in the Pebble Beach Invitational. Horschel had 68,
