GREENSBORO, N.C. --- Brandt Snedeker feels right at home in central North Carolina, no matter which course he plays.
Snedeker shot 5-under-par 65 on Friday and shared the lead with Arjun Atwal at 12-under-par 128 after two rounds of the Wyndham Championship.
Snedeker had an eagle and three birdies to move into familiar territory atop the leaderboard of golf's final pre-playoff event. He won this tournament in 2007 and shared the lead after a rainy first day last year.
Atwal followed his tournament-record-tying first round with 67.
Kevin Streelman (65), Lucas Glover (65) and John Rollins (65) were at 11-under, while Webb Simpson (64) was at 130.
CHAMPIONS TOUR: In Sunriver, Ore., D.A. Weibring shot his second consecutive 5-under-par 67 to take a two-stroke lead after two rounds of the Jeld-Wen Tradition at Crosswater Club.
Weibring was two strokes ahead of Tom Lehman, his first-round co-leader. Lehman shot 69 and was at 136.
Gil Morgan, Jay Don Blake, Bob Tway and Fred Funk were tied for third at 137.
Augusta native Larry Mize shot 70 and was tied for 19th, seven shots off the lead. Former Augusta resident Allen Doyle had 79 and sits in 65th in the 66-man field.
EUROPEAN TOUR: In Celadna, Czech Republic, Ryder Cup hopeful Peter Hanson shot 2-under-par 70 to share the lead at the halfway mark of the Czech Open.
Hanson is tied with fellow Swede Fredrik Widmark at 7-under 137 after two rounds at the Prosper Golf Resort.
Widmark carded 67 in the second round.
Swede Fredrik Andersson Hed, Argentine Clodomiro Carranza, Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts and Peter Lawrie of Ireland are all a shot back in a tie for third.
Former Augusta State golfer Jamie Elson rebounded from 75 to shoot 69 on Friday.
He is tied for 43rd at even par with another ex-Jaguar, Oliver Wilson, who shot a second consecutive 72. Gary Murphy, also formerly of Augusta State, had 73 again and made the cut on the nose.
LPGA TOUR: In North Plains, Ore., Japan's Ai Miyazato shot 6-under-par 66 for the first-round lead at the Safeway Classic at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club west of Portland.
Miyazato had a one-stroke lead on Teresa Lu of Taiwan and Jee Young Lee of South Korea.
