Entry fee $25 per boat (with $2 going toward end of the year Classic on Aug. 25). Payback based upon number of boats entered each week. Five-fish limit per team or individual. Events run every Saturday through Aug. 25 from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Entry fees are $55 with a one-time insurance fee of $10 per person. A portion of each entry fee will go toward the Summer Night Championship scheduled Aug. 1. Special thanks go to David Whyte at Augusta Marine for sponsoring the events. NOTE: William Hooker will drive out west during October to compete in the Angler of the Year Championship tournament in Lake Hudson near Pryor, Okla., on Oct. 19-20. He’ll compete in the American Fishing Tour Championship on Oct. 24-26 in the Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees.

Tournament hours are safe light to 3 p.m. American Bass Anglers is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler, with more than 116 districts offering more than 1,000 tournaments throughout the nation. Membership is open to anyone 16 years old and over, but is closed to professional fishermen and professional guides. Those under 18 must have their parents’ consent. Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event’s start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
