HARTFORD, Conn. — Breanna Stewart scored 23 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked seven shots to lead top-ranked Connecticut to its 33rd straight win, an 83-35 rout of Central Florida on Wednesday night.
Freshman Saniya Chong added a season-high 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies (27-0, 14-0 American Athletic Conference).
Zykira Lewis had 11 points to lead Central Florida (10-16, 3-12), which has lost 12 of its last 14 games.
Stewart scored her 1,000th career point on the Huskies’ first basket. She reached the milestone in just her 63rd game at Connecticut. Only Maya Moore did it faster, needing just 55 games.

In Louisville, Ky., Sara Hammond scored 17 points, and Shoni Schimmel added 15 to lead Louisville (26-2, 14-1 American Athletic Conference) to a lopsided victory over Houston (5-21, 1-14).

In Waco, Texas, Odyssey Sims had a game-high 24 points while Nina Davis and Makenzie Robertson each added 11 points as Baylor demolished Iowa State.
Ex-Laney standout Khadijiah Cave led the Bears (23-3, 13-1 Big 12) off the bench with 10 points. Seanna Johnson’s team-high 12 points led the Cyclones (17-8, 6-8).

In Morgantown, W. Va., Bria Holmes scored a game-high 20 points and Christal Caldwell added 15 points as West Virginia (23-3, 12-2 Big 12) dominated Oklahoma State (20-5, 9-5).
Asya Bussie also had 12 points for the Mountaineers. Tiffany Bias led the Cowgirls with a team-high 10 points.
