HONOLULU — Jamaal Franklin had a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds and No. 18 San Diego State held off Indiana State 62-55 on Sunday in the Diamond Head Classic tournament in Honolulu.
Chase Tapley scored 13 points and the Aztecs (11-1) won despite poor free-throw and 3-point shooting.
RJ Mahurin had 15 points and Manny Arop had 13 for Indiana State (6-4).
NORTH FLORIDA 74, GEORGIA SOUTHERN 46
In Las Vegas, Parker Smith hit seven 3-point shots and scored 25 points to help North Florida beat Georgia Southern in the Las Vegas Classic championship game.
Smith also had 10 rebounds for a double-double. Travis Wallace had 20 points and eight rebounds. Beau Beech had seven points, seven rebounds and five assists for North Florida (5-8).
Tre Bussey led the Eagles (5-7) with 12 points and six rebounds.

In State College, Pa., Maggie Lucas scored 21 points and Alex Bentley made eight steals, tying her career high, to lead Penn State to a rout of New Jersey Institute of Technology.
The Lady Lions (10-2), in their final game before starting Big Ten play, raced to a 44-9 halftime lead against the Highlanders (6-7) of the Great West Conference.
Bentley had six steals in the first half, when NJIT turned the ball over 15 times and shot 17.4 percent (4 of 23).
