AMES, Iowa — Quarterback Collin Klein ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns and sixth-ranked Kansas State held off Iowa State 27-21 for its fifth consecutive win over the Cyclones.
Klein also threw for 187 yards for the Wildcats (6-0, 3-0 Big 12), who remain unbeaten heading into next week’s showdown with West Virginia.
Kansas State held the Cyclones (4-2, 1-2) to just 231 yards of offense.
NO. 10 OREGON STATE 42, BRIGHAM YOUNG 24
In Provo, Utah, Cody Vaz passed for 332 yards and three touchdowns in his first start since high school and Oregon State used a strong start and bigger finish to beat Brigham Young (4-3)
Vaz was filling in for Sean Mannion, who is out with a left knee injury.
Oregon State is 5-0 for the first time since 1939.
NO. 11 SOUTHERN CAL 24, WASHINGTON 14
In Seattle, Anthony Brown blocked a punt and returned it 21 yards for a touchdown in the first half, Jawanza Starling forced and recovered Keith Price’s fumble inside the Southern Cal 5-yard line in the fourth quarter, and the Trojans overcame offensive inconsistency for a win over Washington.
The Trojans (5-1, 3-1 Pac-12) were held scoreless in the second half and got needed help from a defense for their third consecutive win.

In Pittsburgh, Senorise Perry rushed for 101 yards and a career-high four touchdowns to help Louisville race by Pittsburgh.
Teddy Bridgewater passed for 304 yards for the Cardinals (6-0, 1-0 Big East).

In Piscataway, N.J., Duron Harmon scooped up a blocked field goal attempt and ran 75 yard for a tie-breaking touchdown early in the third quarter and Rutgers rode its defense and special teams to a victory over Syracuse.
Khaseem Greene forced three fumbles and intercepted a pass as Rutgers (3-0) became bowl eligible for the seventh time in eight seasons.
NO. 21 CINCINNATI 49, FORDHAM 17
In Cincinnati, Deven Drane scooted 76 yards for a touchdown after picking up a fumble and Munchie Legaux threw two TD passes including a 78-yarder to Travis Kelce to lead Cincinnati past Fordham.
NO. 24 BOISE STATE 20, FRESNO STATE 10
In Boise, Idaho, D.J. Harper rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown and Joe Southwick threw for another score to lead Boise State to the victory.
NO. 25 MICHIGAN 45, ILLINOIS 0
In Ann Arbor, Mich., Denard Robinson threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores, leading Michigan in a win over Illinois.
The Wolverines (4-2, 2-0 Big Ten) got a scare when Robinson left the game with an undisclosed injury late in the first quarter.
