Unheralded Benny Cunningham came up big for Middle Tennessee State

Middle Tennessee State running back Benny Cunningham (right) was a two-star recruit coming out of high school, but didn't play like it in the victory over Georgia Tech.

Benny Cunningham. The Middle Tennessee State running back proved why recruiting is flawed. Despite a stellar high school career, Cunningham was deemed a two-star recruit. This two-star back thoroughly dominated Georgia Tech en route to 217 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

When’s the last time Georgia had two running backs rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season? See answer below.

1. Georgia (5-0, 3-0 Southeastern Conference). Aaron Murray (71 touchdowns) needs two more TDs through the air to pass David Greene on the Bulldogs’ career list. The SEC record for passing touchdowns: 88.

2. South Carolina (5-0, 3-0 SEC). Connor Shaw, injured shoulder and all, has completed a league-leading 78 percent of his passes.

3. Clemson (4-1, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). The defense is still shaky, but Andre Ellington remains solid with an ACC-best 515 rushing yards.

4. Georgia Tech (2-3, 1-2 ACC). Good news: Cumberland is not on the schedule this season.
