Mike Scott, Virginia’s leading scorer coming in at 16.3 points per game, was held to just seven as the Cavaliers (12-1) won their 10th consecutive game despite shooting just 34.8 percent (16 of 46) from the field.
GEORGIA 58, DELAWARE STATE 51
In Athens, Ga., Gerald Robinson scored six of his eight points in the final two minutes, lifting Georgia.
Reserve Dustin Ware had 15 points for Georgia (9-5) while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Donte Williams each scored 12. For Delaware State (4-7), Casey Walker had 16 points and Tyshawn Bell 14.
Delaware State played its third consecutive game without scoring leader Tahj Tate, who has been suspended for an undisclosed rules violation.
