MANHATTAN, Kan. --- Jacob Pullen scored 15 points, leading No. 3 Kansas State to a tough, 76-67 victory over Presbyterian on Thursday night.
Up 14 at the half, Kansas State (3-0) couldn't shake Presbyterian. Jake Troyli and Khalid Mutakbbir hit 3-point shots for the Blue Hose (0-2) to cut the Wildcats' lead to 63-60 with 9:35 to play.
When Kansas State's Rodney Magruder hit a baseline 3-pointer with 51 seconds remaining to make it 74-65, the home crowd could finally relax.
Presbyterian was led by Al'Lonzo Coleman, who had 15 points and 14 rebounds.
NO. 5 PITTSBURGH 79, MARYLAND 70
In New York, freshman Talib Zanna had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Pittsburgh (4-0) past Maryland in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic.
Cliff Tucker had 17 points for Maryland (3-1).
NO. 8 NORTH CAROLINA 107, HOFSTRA 63
In San Juan, Puerto Rico, Harrison Barnes played like a worthy pick to the preseason All-America team and the freshman showed what all the hype was about on a national setting, scoring 19 points in North Carolina's win in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
Barnes made all four 3-point attempts to help the Tar Heels (2-0) storm out to a 25-point lead.

In Gainesville, Fla., Chandler Parsons and Kenny Boynton led eight players in double figures with 16 points apiece, and Florida (2-1) romped.
Casey Prather (12), Erik Murphy (11), Erving Walker (11), Patric Young (11), Scottie Wilbekin (11) and Vernon Macklin (10) also scored in double figures.

In Columbia, Mo., Laurence Bowers had nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots, and Missouri overcame awful free throw shooting in its opener to hold off Western Illinois.
The Tigers were only 14 for 27 from the line.

In Waco, Texas, star freshman Perry Jones had 20 points and eight rebounds, helping Baylor (3-0) overcome 26 turnovers in a sporadic performance in its last game before the return of suspended guard LaceDarius Dunn.

In Charleston, S.C., Jason Clark hit five 3-pointers and scored 22 points as Georgetown rolled to open the Charleston Classic.
The Hoyas (3-0) nearly shot the Chanticleers (2-2) out of Carolina First Arena, going 14 of 30 from behind the arc.
GEORGIA SOUTHERN 101, REINHARDT 84
In Statesboro, Ga., Jelani Hewitt scored 17 points to lead seven Georgia Southern players in double figures.
