MARLINS: Giancarlo Stanton (knee) expects to return to the lineup today and then be a full participant for next week’s All-Star festivities, including the home run derby.


CARDINALS: Matt Holliday is replacing teammate Yadier Molina (bereavement) on the NL All-Star team.


CUBS: Pitcher Ryan Dempster (back) will come off the DL to start Sunday’s game against the New York Mets.

RED SOX: Second baseman Dustin Pedroia is going on the 15-day disabled list with a hyperextended right thumb. He hasn’t played since injuring the thumb on Tuesday.


INDIANS: Outfielder Shelley Duncan is back with Cleveland, and the Indians optioned infielder Jason Donald to Triple-A Columbus. Duncan missed two games while on the paternity list to be with wife Elyse, who delivered twin boys, William and Walker, on Thursday.


WHITE SOX: Claimed left-hander Daniel Moskos off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

NFL owners approve Raiders’ move to Las Vegas
