Georgia Regents men 87, Bowie State 86, OT

In Bowie, Md., Ryan Weems hit a pair of 3-point goals in the final 31 seconds of overtime to help lead the Georgia Regents men’s basketball team to an 87-86 victory over Bowie State.

Keshun Sherrill’s jumper with 12 seconds put the Jaguars up 86-85.

Bowie State’s Zafir Williams tied it at 86 with a free throw. After he missed the his second free-throw attempt, Georgia Regents’ Harold Doby grabbed the rebound and was fouled with five seconds remaining. Doby made a free throw for the decisive point.

Weems, who hit five of his eight 3-point attempts, led Georgia Regents with 27 points.

The Jaguars are 3-1. Bowie State drops to 1-4.
