William Tumlin celebrated his 100th birthday, and he folds his hands across his lap while others eat cake, at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Augusta, Georgia. Tumlin achieved the rank of Master Sgt. in the United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze and Silver Stars. Tumlin served in the U.S. Army from 1935 to 1955.
