Traffic Watch
Single-lane closures are planned this week from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Friday

* Wrightsboro Road, between Belair Road and Maddox Road; single lane closure for utility work
* Georgia Highway 4 southbound outside lane at the Interstate 520 overpass; single lane closure.
* Georgia Highway 4 northbound alternating outside and inside lanes from Kipling Road to Augusta Tech Drive; single lane closure.
Flagmen may be used for this work. Motorists are asked to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones.

Globetrotters Now Georgia-Owned
The Harlem Globetrotters, an Augusta favorite (as shown in this past visit) have been purchased by a Georgia company.

Georgia-based Herschend Family Entertainment Corp. has acquired the team. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

Jacksonville Airport Shut Down 5 Hours
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville International Airport reopened at 11 p.m. Tuesday, five hours after authorities found two suspicious packages and took two men into custody.
Police said one of the packages contained “a device that had to be rendered safe,” but they didn’t elaborate.
