Get ready for Iron Man!

Traffic will be affected on area roads beginning at 4 a.m. Sunday and continuing until 6 p.m. The 70.3 mile triathlon will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a 1.2-mile swim from the Augusta Riverwalk Marina to The Boathouse Community Center on Riverfront Drive.
From there, the 3,500-plus athletes will transition to the 56-mile cycling leg, into South Carolina. The cycling leg will wind through Aiken County, passing through Jackson and New Ellenton on the route. The cyclists will return to the transition area at The Boathouse to begin the 13.1-mile run leg of the race through downtown Augusta..

A sheet of uncut $100 bills makes the way through the printing process at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

The federal printing facility is making the new-look colorful bills that include new security features in advance of the Oct. 8 circulation date.

Undefeated Georgia Tech Plays Tonight

The Georgia Historical Society will induct Billy Payne (shown) and Arthur Blank as Georgia Trustees during its annual Trustees Gala in Savannah.

Payne is chairman of the Augusta National Golf Club. He was instrumental in bringing the Olympics to Atlanta in 1996,
Blank is the co-founder of Home Depot and the owner and chairman of the Atlanta Falcons.

Postage Stamp Price Hike
It soon could cost 49 cents to mail a letter.
The financially struggling Postal Service is seeking a 3-cent increase in the cost of mailing a letter, bringing the price of a first-class stamp to 49 cents.
