(Emily Rose Bennett/Staff) Catina Thurmond, 39, of Clarks Hill, S.C., was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 35 years old. "The first day I found out I did a lot of crying," Thurmond said. "I went home and prayed about it and put it in God's hand." Thurmond underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments and has been cancer free for four years.
