Augusta RiverHawks forward Branden Kosolofsky has been named the Southern Professional Hockey League's player of the week, the league office announced this afternoon.

Kosolofsky recorded his first hat trick as a pro last Saturday in a perfect 2-0 week for the RiverHawks. He also tallied two assists and finished the week with a plus/minus rating of a plus-5.

Kosolofsky became the second consecutive RiverHawks rookie to earn the league's player of the week honors. Forward Travis Dunstall, who has scored seven goals in his last eight games, won the award last week.

The RiverHawks matched the league's season high for consecutive games won Tuesday night when their 4-3 overtime win over Fayetteville marked Augusta's seventh win in a row and lifted the team into a tie for second place in the league.

The RiverHawks will play three more times this week, including a home game Friday night against Fayetteville.
