More than 50 Augusta State University students inducted into Phi Kappa Phi honor society

More than 50 Augusta State University students were inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society. The ASU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi held its initiation ceremony on March 16 in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.

Phi Kappa Phi has chapters on more than 300 college and university campuses. Since its founding in 1897, more than a million members have been initiated, with about 30,000 being inducted each year. Membership is by invitation only to the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students and top 7.5 percent of juniors. Faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction also qualify.
