Lots of pasta


The 26th annual Pasta Festival, held by the Italian-American Club of the CSRA, will be Friday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 953 Telfair St.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 4:30-8 p.m. The menu is spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, salad, rolls and tea.

The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 11 and younger. Takeout is available.

Kicking cancer

The inaugural Kick, Punt and Throw Down Cancer will be held Saturday at Westside High School, 1002 Patriots Way.

Registration is at 10:30 a.m., and activities begin at 11:30 a.m. The rain date is Feb. 20. The event is for middle and high school students, who should bring student identification. Schools or organizations with participating students should call in advance. Registration is free for participants, but participating students and organizations are asked to raise donations.

Admission is free. The proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's 2010 Relay for Life of Augusta.

Wilson Home tours

The Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson, 419 Seventh St., will be open for free tours Monday in honor of Presidents Day.

A free screening of the film Do the Right Thing , rated R, will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Augusta Public Library, 902 Greene St.

The Sierra Club Savannah River Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta, 3501 Walton Way Extension.

Art program

Applications are being accepted for the Arts Infusion Program at Warren Road Elementary School, 311 Warren Road.

The applications will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 19. Those applying must reside in Richmond County districts 3 or 7.

Free admission

The Morris Museum of Art, 1 10th St., is offering free admission to all visitors through Sunday, March 14.

Most of the museum's galleries are closed while its permanent collection is being rearranged. The Coggins Gallery, the Education Gallery and the museum store remain open.

The museum's grand reopening will be celebrated March 6 through 14.
