Mowers needed

The community service group Growing Augusta the GreenWay is seeking volunteers to help cut the grass at the state-owned former Augusta Golf and Gardens, 1100 Reynolds St., starting at 8:15 a.m. Saturday.

Volunteers should bring mowers, weed trimmers, blowers and other lawn equipment. There will be plenty of work for those without lawn equipment.

Mystery dinner

The play Sherlock Holmes and the West End Horror will be performed July 17, 18, 24, 25, 30, 31, and Aug. 1, at the Fort Gordon Dinner Theatre, Building 32100, Third Avenue.
