- Robert Crum Osborne III , of Augusta, has been named to the dean's list for the fall term at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn.

- Darrell Glenn Lee , son of Barbara A. Bonner, of Augusta, has earned a bachelor of arts degree in music from Berry College, Mount Berry, Ga.

- Amanda M. Woodruff , of Hephzibah, has been named to the December dean's list at Columbia (Mo.) College.

- Caitlin Keesee has been named to the Honor List for the fall semester at Oxford (Ga.) College of Emory University.

- Roderick Maurice Turner , of Hephzibah, has earned a bachelor of science in chemistry degree from Valdosta (Ga.) State University.

- Emily Catherine Sharp , of Augusta, has been named to the dean's honor roll for the fall semester at the University of Mississippi, Oxford.

- Hillcrest Baptist School won the Aiken-Augusta League Division II basketball tournament, held Jan. 27-31 at Mead Hall Episcopal School gym in Aiken.

The Eagles won the tournament for middle schools with fewer than 400 pupils by defeating the Immaculate Conception Vikings, 59-57, in overtime.

Immaculate Conception won the girls tournament, defeating Hillcrest, 34-32.

Also competing in the tournament were Mead Hall, Aiken Christian and Aiken Prep.

Air Force Airman Elvin D. Clark , a 2008 graduate of Butler High School and son of Lisa and Elvin Clark, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Air Force Airman Ian M. Macnamara , son of Lisa Sturgill, of Hephzibah, and Michael Macnamara, of Everett, Wash., has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
